Description

Nestled in the heart of Bulandshahr district in Uttar Pradesh lies the Ceramic City of Khurja, a town where every kiln tells a story and every piece of pottery carries centuries of skill in its glaze. At Rural Beads, we are proud to bring this extraordinary craft from the workshops of Khurja straight to your hands.

Khurja pottery is a renowned, centuries-old traditional ceramic art form from Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, known as India’s pottery capital. Characterized by vibrant hand-painted designs and durable, high-quality clay (mixed with feldspar and quartz), these lead-free and microwave-safe ceramics include tableware, planters, and decorative items.

It is known for its signature blue, green, and brown glazes, the pottery features detailed, hand-painted motifs.

The pieces are known for their strength and are designed for daily use.

Every item is handcrafted and hand-painted, meaning no two pieces are ever exactly alike. When you hold a piece of Khurja pottery, you hold something that no machine could ever replicate.
